Priority of Treatment

Comprehensive Community Services prioritizes in the following order:

1. Pregnant injecting drug abusers
2. Pregnant substance abusers
3. Injecting drug users
4. Individuals admitted to Medically Monitored Crisis Detoxification Programs
5. Individuals referred by Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole
6. All others, including co-occurring disorders, in the order they call and are placed on the list.

Residential Facility for Substance Abuse/Co-occurring Treatment
 

When necessary, Comprehensive Community Services can provide complete, residential substance abuse and co-occurring treatment for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17, and adults age 18 and above. Our residential facility serves consumers from all areas of the state. Our treatment programs are all evidence-based that balances personal recovery and family growth.

We have 54 beds at our residential facility. We have a state licensed school on the facility for our adolescents; ensuring their educational needs are met during their treament program. Additionally, we have a residential program that meets the needs of adult men and women ages 19 years and older. Prevention
CCS’s Prevention Program encompasses three (3) prevention models which are used to prevent the use of alcohol and other drugs. Targeted groups include: Juvenile offenders, children of substance abusing parents, adolescent (ages 13-18) and young adult (ages 18-24) binge drinking and excessive alcohol use, adolescent prescription drug use and adolescent cooccurring disorders and associated issues.

 

Aftercare/Discharge Planning
Follow-up counseling and referrals are provided for those individuals who are making a transition from their treatment program back to the home/community environment or into a new drug-free environment.

The residential program is based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Levels of Care. CCS offers a structured regimen of care 24 hours a day where a client develops recovery skills using evidence based programs. This environment offers a defined set of policies and procedures, housed in a facility where a client can safely deal with the psychological, emotional and physical/spiritual aspects of addiction.

Effective Outpatient Counseling Services

 

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP)
The IOP/OP Program is a dedicated program ready to 
help those individuals in need. This program is offered at  times that allow consumers to continue to work, attend  school and be with family. Consumers benefit from a  successful modern, evidence-based program designed  to balance personal recovery and family growth.
Counseling
Individual, family, and group counseling is offered to help the individual and their families overcome problems. These problems often involve the use of alcohol and other drugs as well as co-occurring disorders among family members.

Screening and Assessments
Individuals are screened and assessed to determine the extent of any alcohol or other drug use and/or cooccurring disorders. This is followed by an evaluation and possible referral to counseling or treatment as deemed necessary.
Substance Abuse Testing
Random drug screenings for amphetamines, alcohol, THC, cocaine, opiates, barbiturate, and benzodiazepines, are given to clients. The screens are tested in a certified toxicology laboratory.
